Abergavenny is easy to reach whether by road or rail. The town is situated on the A40, a short distance from the M4 (exit at junction 26) or the M50 continuation through Monmouth.

Trains on the main railway line from Newport, S Wales to Hereford, Shrewsbury and Crewe also serve Abergavenny.

          Directions.

Arriving by Train and Walking Walk down the hill from the station (200m). Turn right onto the A40. Walk past the Bus Station and continue past the Angel Hotel, past Lloyds Bank and  through the town. When you reach Tescos on your right go obliquely across the A40 at the Pelican Crossing onto Pen y Pound. After 200m at the traffic lights, turn left and immediately right. You are still in Pen y Pound! We are approximately 200m on the left.

Arriving by Bus and Walking Leave the Bus Station and turn right onto A40.  Follow instructions for Arriving by Train. Arriving from East and South by Private Transport Follow the A40. This means turning right by the Angel Hotel and left by the Esso Garage at the traffic lights. Immediately after the second pelican crossing (after the Esso Garage traffic lights) turn right into Pen y Pound. After 200m turn left into Avenue Road at the traffic lights and immediately right back into Pen y Pound. We are 200m on the left.  Arriving from West by Private Transport Follow the A40 to the outskirts of the town. After a sharp left turn (with the Tesco Store and the War Memorial on your right and immediately before the pelican crossing) turn left into Pen y Pound. After 200m turn left into Avenue Road at the traffic lights and immediately right back into Pen y Pound. We are 200m on the left.
